How to Set Up Outlook 2000 Email

1. You will need your email server settings to set up your email program.

2. Open Microsoft Outlook 2000.

3. Click the Next button.

4. Click the Next button.

5. Click the Next button.

6. Check the box next to Internet E-mail.

7. Click the Next button.

8. Click the Setup Mail Account button.

9. In the Mail account field, type a name for your email account (i.e. GKG).

10. In the Name field, type your full name.

11. In the E-mail address field, type your full email address (e.g., johndoe@gkg.net).

12. Click on the Servers tab.

13. In the Incoming Mail (POP3) field, type your Incoming mail server (POP) (as determined during step 1 of this walkthrough.

14. In the Outgoing Mail Server field, type in your SMTP (as determined in Step 1 of this walkthrough.

15. In the Account name field, type your account name.

16. In the Password field, type your email password.

17. Check the box next to My server requires authentication.

18. Click the Settings button.

19. Select Log on using.

20. In the Account name field, type your account name.

21. In the Password field, type your password.

22. Check the box next to Remember password.

23. Click the OK button.

24. Click on the Connection tab.

25. Click the Connect using my phone line radio button in the Connection area.

26. Click the down arrow on the Use the following Dial-Up Networking connection drop-down list and choose your connection.

27. Click the OK button.

28. Click the Next button.

29. Click the Finish button.
