| How to add a Spam filter in Netscape for Windows |
- Open Netscape Messenger and click on the Edit menu.

Click on the Message Filters option.
- This will bring up the Message Filters dialog box. Click on the New button.
- This will open the Filter Rules dialog box.

Type in SPAM for the Filter Name. Make sure the drop down menus say "subject" and "contains" and type in "*****SPAM*****"
Now click on the New Folder button:
- This will bring up the New Folder dialog box. Type SPAM in the Name box . Make sure the Create a subfolder of: drop down box says Inbox and click the OK button.
- Click OK in the Filter Rules dialog box and click OK in the message filters dialog box and you're done! Netscape Messenger should now look like the following:
Note: Periodically check through the SPAM folder and delete the emails that are spam and keep the ones that are not.
